The work on a construction site is people, places, and a record of both. Software should start there.
A site is a set of people, on a piece of ground, for a stretch of time. Everything else — drawings, plant, deliveries — hangs off that. When the record of who was there, and which job they were on, is scattered across notebooks and inboxes, the rest of the work is harder than it needs to be.
Principal contractors and site teams already know this. The difficulty is not the idea. It is keeping people, sites, and records in one place that the office and the ground can both use, without inventing a second way of working.
